Our firm advised Alpha Bank S.A. (the “Bank”), on the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of AXIA Ventures Group Ltd (“AXIA”). The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.

AXIA is a leading Cyprus investment firm providing investment services in Greece and Cyprus. This transaction will be followed by the combination of AXIA with Alpha Finance Investment Services S.M.S.A. (the investment services subsidiary of the Bank), for the establishment of a leading investment banking & capital markets platform in Greece and Cyprus.

Our firm provided guidance on all legal matters of Cyprus law with respect to the transaction, including carrying out the customary due diligence on the target entity and the structure of the deal, as well as submitting clearance applications to the Cyprus Competition Authority and the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. Our team was also heavily involved in the negotiations of the deal including reviewing the sale and purchase agreement.
