Our firm, following a successful tender process involving other major law firms in Cyprus, has been appointed as the external legal counsel of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (the “CySec”) and will be acting on behalf of the CySec for matters within the competence of the CySec, in relation to the provision of advice and legal support, with respect to various legislations enacted, including inter alia, the CySec Law and regulations, the Investment Services Law, the Collective Investments and Managers Law, the Prospectus Law, the Transparency Law, the Takeover Law, the Market Abuse Law, the Administrative Services Law, the Anti-Money Laundering Law, the Cyprus Stock Exchange Law, the Companies Law, as well as any regulations, circulars and directives issued by the CySec relating to the above matters and any relevant European regulations and directives.
 
Our firm has also been appointed to represent the CySec before the Courts in Cyprus in relation to claims, recourses and appeals as well as any other legal proceedings to which the CySec is a party.
 
The term of our firm’s appointment as the CySec’s external legal counsel is for a period of twelve (12) months, with a term limit of four additional (4) years at the CySec’s discretion each year to renew our annual appointment.
